DJI Robomaster S1

At Central Drone and Photography Services Ltd, we believe that the right technology, used in smart and adaptable ways, can make a real difference in the quality and efficiency of our work. One of the more surprising tools in our kit is the DJI RoboMaster S1.

Originally designed as an educational robot, the S1 might not seem like an obvious fit for commercial operations. That is exactly why it works so well for us. We have adapted this compact, highly manoeuvrable platform for two main purposes: on-site inspection and creative video production.

For inspections, its small size, agile movement, and high-quality first-person-view (FPV) camera make it ideal for places that are awkward, confined, or unsafe for people to access. On construction sites, for example, it can navigate beneath raised flooring, follow along narrow service corridors, or explore inside partially completed structures. It does this without disrupting work or putting anyone at risk. When conditions are dark or shadowed, our custom-built light attachment helps ensure that every detail is clearly visible.

On the creative side, the RoboMaster S1 serves as a smooth, ground-level camera platform, perfect for adding dynamic movement to shots. We use it for property walkthroughs, behind-the-scenes footage, and promotional videos. While the S1’s built-in camera can pick up slight vibrations during movement, we have overcome this by fitting a secondary stabilised camera. This upgrade keeps footage steady and professional, even when capturing more complex tracking shots.

By combining mobility, versatility, and a few tailored modifications, the RoboMaster S1 has become more than just a gadget. It is a reliable, multipurpose tool that helps us carry out safer inspections and create more engaging visual content, all from a single compact platform.

Whether showcasing a property or broadcasting a live event, this service helps clients connect with audiences in a compelling, interactive, and visually powerful way.

Interactive Virtual Tours & Live Guided Experiences
Interactive virtual tours are created with features including clickable hotspots, embedded media, and informative overlays. For real-time engagement, live guided tours can be added, enabling clients to walk viewers through a property or venue while communicating directly via live video and voice chat. These tours can be shared easily through links or embedded directly into websites for immediate access.

Real Estate: Stand Out in a Competitive Market
In the property sector, virtual tours allow prospective buyers to explore listings from anywhere in the world. They offer a realistic sense of layout, design, and flow—without the need for an on-site visit. This approach helps attract more serious enquiries, reduces scheduling conflicts, and accelerates the sales process, particularly for high-end listings where presentation makes a difference.

Events & Entertainment: Redefining the Audience Experience
For events and entertainment, immersive 360° video reimagines how performances are experienced. Whether live streaming a concert, producing a virtual replay, or promoting a venue to planners and promoters, the combination of dynamic visuals and interactive exploration delivers a unique edge. It allows global reach, the potential for ticketed virtual experiences, and a level of impact beyond standard video formats.
